The Oceanfront Hotel is conveniently located right on the waterfront in the heart of historic Sointula. Drive to Port McNeill and catch the BC Ferry to Sointula. If you are lucky, you might see some whales on your way! Our wonderful museum is open every day during the Summer, and if you are here on a Saturday, you are welcome to join us for Bilge Boogie in the old pub. You can dance your heart out with no one watching. Great stress release!! Bring running shoes since it is a cement floor.

There's never a lack of exploring, and even 3 days wouldn't be enough to cover it all!
We have a great thrift shop full of treasures and a recycling centre where you can shop the free store. We seldom have cougars or bears on the island, so you can hike our beautiful trails with no worry. Visit our artists' studios or just hang out on your oceanfront deck and watch the world go by. You can also take a day trip to Alert Bay for free. Leave on the 11am ferry. Check out the museum and the totem poles. Return home by 4:30 to your cozy room and enjoy the fabulous sunset!

"Absolutely Awesome!! Let me just say...I'd love to retire here. The Hotel is unique to say the least. Our room was baby blue and lovely. MILLION DOLLAR VIEW!!!! We went on a Monday when there is nothing open, as it is off season but the manager was willing to feed us <3 My sister knew some of the locals so we were set. If you love peace and quiet, this is the place for you. My favourite places have always been Tofino and Ukie...But now my number one choice is Sointula <3"

"Myself and the other half went to Sointula, not expecting anything but left wanting more. We stayed at the Oceanfront and loved every minute of it. Loved waking in the morning to the sound of the waves. We borrowed some bikes and took in the beautiful scenery and met with the friendly locals. The staff at Oceanfront were very friendly and helpful but my favourite was definitely the lovely Irish barman Vinnie. Everyone had such interesting stories here. I would love to come back to the harmony some day."
