Nanaimo's own Junior A Hockey Team will be starting off the 2019-2020 season with a bang! Come down to the Frank Crane Arena at Beban Park September 6th for what is sure to be an exciting opening game! As a member of the BCHL, the Nanaimo Clippers have helped send many student-athletes to college. They've also had several dozen alumni make it to the NHL. The Frank Crane Arena has long been the home of the Nanaimo Clippers and is located in Beban Park.
The Cowichan Valley Capitals are long-time rivals of the Nanaimo Clippers and are based in Duncan, BC, home of the world's largest hockey stick! The team has also had several alumni make it to the NHL and has supported their alumni as student-athletes. The Capitals play out of the Island Savings Centre.
