The Salvation Army Comox Valley Ministries provides many services throughout the valley with much of their funds being generated through the Thrift Stores. In 2012, 4,199 beds were used at the Emergency Homeless Shelter (a 17% increase over 2011). 4,417 meals were served through the Tuesday Hot Lunch program at St. George's United Church - known as "the soup kitchen".

Living daily by the Mission Statement which is "The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world" In 2012, 94 children were provided with school supplies; 38 children, youth and some Mom's-n-Tot's, enjoyed a camping experience on the Sunshine Coast! These are all ways to bless and come alongside families and individuals who find themselves looking for help and hope.

They offer year-round assistance of food, clothing, furniture, and alcohol & drug rehabilitation referrals through the Community & Family Services offices. Their desire is to support those within the community to ensure that no one falls through the cracks, and that everyone is treated with dignity.
