HOW DOES THE CYNOSURE IPL MaxG WORK?

IPL laser treatment is similar to laser therapy; however, a few key differences exist between the two. Mainly, Cynosure IPL MaxG laser treatment uses multiple wavelengths of light energy versus laser therapy, which utilizes only one.

These multiple wavelengths target pigmented or damaged skin cells and remove or reduce their appearance. When targeted, the light heats cells in the skin, causing them to break down. The removal of these broken-down cells is left to the natural processes of the body.

Since IPL treatment is less focused than traditional laser therapy, it can penetrate the second layer of the skin without damaging the first. This means less overall damage to the skin and a better experience throughout the treatment.
