Shima Karate has been a part of our community since 1988, offering classes in traditional Goju-Ryu Karate in Nanaimo. Karate is fun and exciting way to improve your life, and there are many positive benefits to practising this honoured art.

Karate is taught in a dojo (the word “do” means way, road, or path and the word “jo” means place. Therefore, the place of the way is the dojo) which is a place of honour and respect.
