We are not new to sea kayaking, so we rented 2 doubles, and with advise from the staff, we set out for two very enjoyable hours of sea kayaking. We went just after low tide on a warm and sunny day. Low tide is the best time to view sea creatures. We saw plenty of starfish, a giant pink jellyfish, crabs, a bald eagle and more. The highlights for us were the harbor seals that hangout near the floating logs. The kayaks were clean and the nicest we have ever rented, the staff was cheerful and helpful. The area we kayaked for 2 hours was lovely. If the seas are calm and the tide is right I think this would be an excellent place for beginners to try sea kayaking. Call ahead to be sure they have kayaks available.
