Since it's initial footprint in Nanaimo in 2008, CJ Martial Arts was formally named Pure Self Defense Studios, created by Jodey Ingalls BJJ Black Belt. Since then, Jodey has trained his senior students Cara & Jordan Denney to continue the tradition; the practice of Muay Thai, BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsui), and No Gi Grappling.
They believe that self-esteem, confidence, and physical development should start at a young age, and as such, are proud to offer their Little Warriors program, starting at ages 3 and up! Young Dragons as 7+, and also offer Women's Only classes, which cater to women's strengths in a safe, empowering environment.
