How does Island Daily Deals work?

Simple.  Our business model is based on a Win-Win-Win philosophy.

           trying their services for the first  time.  A great new traffic flow through the business. 

>        You, the consumer, gets an opportunity to take advantage of HUGE discounts and try new local

          businesses you may never have tried otherwise.  And who knows, you’ll probably LOVE what you find. 

>        Us, at Island Daily Deals, work hard as a small business and take a small portion to continue to bring

           you these fabulous deals  daily.

How do I purchase and redeem my coupon?

Simple.  Sign up for the daily email, when you see a deal you like (make sure to read over the fine print and details of the business) simply click Buy.  Our secured payment solution working with paypal will walk you through the payment process.  Paypal gives you options to setup an account using debit or you can pay by credit card without having a paypal account by clicking “Pay with Credit Card”.  Once completed you will be returned to the Island Daily Deals website where you can click “Print my Coupon” at the top.  All that’s left is for you to then enjoy your deal.  Keep in mind to use it before the expiry date.

Started by just 2 young professionals at their kitchen table, Nadine Shemilt & Fraser Paterson, are the founders of Island Daily Deals.  Now a team of 5 great individuals all of us work hard and are dedicated to bringing the best deals to Vancouver Island and pride ourself on the quick, awesome customer service.  Started in Nanaimo, Island Daily Deals expanded to Courtenay and Campbell River in April 2012 as well as recently announced are expansion to Victoria, BC.  We offer deals everywhere in between, including Duncan, Parksville, Ladysmith, making us truly your one-stop shop.

A little bit about the people behind Island Daily Deals.  Fraser Paterson & Nadine Shemilt, both young professionals born and raised in Nanaimo, BC saw the need to create a local niche group buying website after experiencing what the big markets had to offer.  With Fraser coming from BC in Business with a background in Finance, and Nadine working in Real Estate, there was definitely a learning curve to creating an Internet company.  Started from their kitchen table, Nadine & Fraser took on the challenge and created what you now know as Vancouver Island’s successful group buying website.  Click here to read the story on Nadine & Fraser as reported by the Business Examiner in 2011: http://issuu.com/investnorthwest/docs/bvi_05_2011  On January 24, 2013, Island Daily Deals has reached it’s 2 years in business!!

In March 2012, we introduced Derek Moul to the Island Daily Deals team, now our proud Vancouver Island Sales Manager Derek is committed to bringing you the best Vancouver Island Daily Deals.  Not only that, Derek has concentrated on bringing you some amazing west coast daily deals including Weigh West Marine Resort, Eagle Eye Adventures, and the Black Rock Resort.  If you get the chance to meet Derek, he has a great personality and can crack some pretty good jokes!

We are proud to have our business located in Downtown Nanaimo and support the local communities that we operate in.  We are active members of the Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals of Nanaimo.  We are involved in community initiatives including former board member of Nanaimo Seniors Visiting Society, the Loaves & Fishes Hamper Program, Community Gardens, and Salvation Army and through our last Approved Christmas Sale’s we have supported the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island and the Nanaimo Child Development Centre.
